Traditional Chinese Medicine

A holistic medical system focused on regulation, balance and individual patterns.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a comprehensive medical system that views the human being as an interconnected and dynamic whole.

Rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, treatment is based on an individual diagnosis and aims to support balance, resilience and the body’s natural capacity for regulation.

How I work

Each treatment begins with a detailed consultation and diagnosis based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

My work is calm, focused and structured. I combine classical TCM methods with many years of clinical experience, respecting the individual situation of each person.

The aim is not short-term symptom relief, but sustainable regulation, resilience and long-term balance.

What to expect

A first appointment usually includes a detailed conversation, pulse and tongue diagnosis and a thorough assessment of your individual situation.

Based on this diagnosis, an individual treatment plan is developed. Treatment may include acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary recommendations or manual techniques, depending on what is appropriate for you.

Follow-up sessions build on this foundation and are adjusted according to your progress.

The five pillars of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese Medicine is based on several complementary therapeutic pillars that work together to support balance and resilience.

Acupuncture, Moxibustion & Cupping

These classical methods form a central pillar of Traditional Chinese Medicine and are often used in combination, depending on individual needs.

Acupuncture works with fine needles applied to specific points on the body to support balance, clarity and the body’s natural regulatory capacity.

Moxibustion uses gentle warmth to support circulation and vitality and is traditionally applied in patterns associated with cold, weakness or stagnation.

Cupping is a method using gentle suction to stimulate circulation and release tension in specific areas of the body.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese Herbal Medicine is a traditional therapeutic approach using carefully selected plant-based substances tailored to individual patterns.

Herbal formulas are composed of multiple ingredients that work together in a balanced way and are adjusted individually to support regulation and resilience.

Herbal medicine in TCM is not used as a one-size-fits-all solution, but as part of an individualized therapeutic concept.

Chinese Dietetics

Chinese Dietetics is an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine and focuses on the supportive role of food in everyday life.

Nutrition is viewed according to its functional qualities and is adapted individually to support balance and long-term well-being through simple, mindful adjustments.

Tuina – Chinese Manual Therapy

Tuina is a traditional Chinese manual therapy using specific techniques to support movement, circulation and structural balance.

Techniques are applied along functional pathways and adapted individually to support relaxation, mobility and body awareness.

Treatment is always integrated into an overall therapeutic concept and adjusted to each person’s individual situation.

Qi Gong – Breath & Movement Therapy

Qi Gong is a traditional Chinese practice combining gentle movement, breathing and focused attention.

Through slow, mindful movements and coordinated breathing, Qi Gong supports body awareness, inner balance and vitality.

In my practice, you may receive simple exercises you can continue at home to support regulation in everyday life.

When Traditional Chinese Medicine can be helpful

Traditional Chinese Medicine can be supportive in a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, particularly where regulation, balance and individual patterns play a central role.

• Musculoskeletal pain and tension (neck, back, shoulder, knee)
 • Stress-related pain patterns and physical overload
• Headaches and migraines

• Fertility support and reproductive health concerns

• Digestive imbalances and functional digestive discomfort
• Sinusitis and recurrent infections
• Sleep disturbances and difficulties with rest and recovery
• Hormonal imbalances and cycle-related concerns
• Chronic symptoms without clear medical findings
• Trauma-related stress symptoms and nervous system dysregulation
• Support after challenging life events or medical interventions

My work places a particular focus on supporting nervous system regulation and restoring balance after prolonged stress or overwhelming experiences.

Treatment is always tailored individually, based on a detailed diagnosis and personal consultation.
